InvMap is a purpose built street inventory mapping system. It records and displays a wide range of items including: street furniture, highway features, traffic surveys and safety audits.
InvMap provides a single repository of different data sets, which will enable you to deal with queries quickly and efficiently. It can be also be used simultaneously with other TraffMap application such as AccsMap for collision analysis and ParkMap for the management traffic orders.

Totally flexibleInvMap has no limit to the range of highway inventory items that it can store. Point items such as lamp columns, line items such as cycle routes, and areas such as flower beds, are all catered for. A second level of hierarchy enables you to distinguish on screen between different categories of inventory. For example, you can distinguish between automatic and manual surveys in the traffic counts layer. Instant access to data Just switch on the labels, or click on the map to call up all the information you need. Flexible querying and reporting Built in flexibility lets you query your data to get the answers you need in the least possible time. Choose between detailed and summary outputs, or design your own. Attach documents to the map Traffic surveys, safety audit reports and copies of Tree Preservation Orders are only some of the documents which you might find useful to attach to your mapped inventory items. Whenever you need to refer to reports, they will be available with a mouse click.

Open systems
InvMap has facilities to connect to other systems and to link to external data sources. InvMap can run as an independent mapping system or as an additional module for users of any of the TraffMap systems. Users of AccsMap (for collision analysis), ParkMap (for traffic order making and management), SignMap (traffic sign database) or HighwayMap (Section 38/ 278/ 106 management) have the InvMap menu available at all times, and have the option to switch the tools on or off as and when required during their TraffMap session. Inventory records can be exported to a variety of formats including ESRI Shapefiles, DXF, DWG and Access tables to make them available to users of most other popular mapping systems. Reports may be saved in various formats, including Microsoft Word and Excel, while exports include MIF/MID, DXF, dBase and ascii text.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS InvMap runs under Windows 98, 2000, XP or Vista. Network licences for access over a local or wide-area network are available. InvMap will output to any Windows-compatible colour or mono printer using paper sizes from A4 to A0. |
