Improving highway safety cannot begin without an accurate and accessible record of accidents and casualties. All highway and police authorities can improve their ability to respond to safety concerns by having a reliable database that provides easily accessible information on individual collisions and injuries as well as overall statistics and trends. Local processing authorities have an additional obligation to verify data and supply it to DfT.

We have been a provider of road accident analysis software for nearly 20 years. AccsMap was developed specifically to meet the needs of UK highways authorities and the police for a map-centred collision database and enquiry system. It makes the complex three-tier structure of Stats 19 data (accidents, vehicles and casualties) simple, allowing queries to be made at any level.

To meet public and political concern, it has become vital that safety camera partnerships are able to comply easily with the current DfT procedures for site justification and reporting. AccsMap has optional modules to meet these and other specific needs.
