TSRGD 2016 latest
The latest version of the new TSRGD has been notified to EU and can be downloaded here (click the Draft text link). A lot of work has been done since the August consultation version, particularly to parking signs in Schedule 4, the text for which has been mostly re-written. This makes it clearer and more flexible how parking plates may be combined to form a single sign. The definition of a CPZ has also been updated.
At the very back (Schedule 17 Parts 9 and 10) are the latest versions of yellow and green text for Gaelic language destinations for use in parts of Scotland. The grave accents are now the ones we designed here at Buchanan Computing earlier this year for use in Malta. These were chosen in an open competition with three other shapes of accent by Ainmean-Àite na h-Alba, the body that looks after these matters! They are, of course, already built into SignPlot for use in either Scotland or Malta, and the CAD files we exported are being used to create the official working drawings of these new letters.
